How Chase the Ace works

One deck. One ace of spades. A pot that only grows until someone turns it over.

  1. 1Buy a ticket — On draw night the pub sells tickets from the bar. You have to be on the premises when your name is called.
  2. 2A name comes out — At the advertised time, one ticket is drawn. That person walks up to the board.
  3. 3Turn a card — The remaining cards sit face-down on the felt. You choose one. If it is the ace of spades, the pot is yours.
  4. 4Miss, and it rolls — Any other card is pinned up and taken out of the game. A cut of that week’s ticket money is added to the jackpot, and the deck gets thinner for next time.

Monday from 15:00. Advertised pot about $250 (confirm on the board). Source: https://thestirlingarms.com.au/whats-on/chase-the-ace Website-confirmed · contacts:places

House rules vary by pub — ticket price, cut of the pot, and whether you need to be a member. Always read the board.
